"The Soul Of Ireland" is a phrase that is becoming strongly connected with Laura Izibor. After just one listen to this precocious, piano-playing 20 year old from Dublin, Ireland it becomes clear to you why people are drawing stylistic comparisons to legendary seminal soul singer Candi Staton, Roberta Flack, and early Aretha Franklin.  She was first introduced to the piano at 13 years old and in February of 2003, at the tender age of 15 she entered and subsequently won, Ireland’s national and prestigious "2FM Song Contest."

Laura is appearing at Joe’s Pub in support of the highly-anticipated release of her debut album "Let The Truth Be Told" on Atlantic Records. A seasoned live performer, she has played numerous sold out shows in Ireland as well as performing in the US, UK and Europe at festivals including Roundhouse London, and venues such as BB King’s and Joe’s Pub.  Laura is also slated to open for Angie Stone, The Roots, Jamie Cullum, and Al Green.Her recordings have been included in the soundtracks of The Nanny Diaries, PS. I Love You, and Why Did I Get Married among other films.
