Writer-Performers David Cale and Dael Orlandersmith perform excerpts from their work and their works in progress in a special shared evening sponsored by the Under the Radar Festival Incoming project.

About David Cale
Obie award recipient David Cale, whose credits include the films Pollock and The Slaughter Rule has been writing and performing in New York since the early 1980s. As a lyricist for The Jazz Passengers, Mr. Cale's songs have been recorded by artists including Deborah Harry and Richard Butler and performed in concert by Elvis Costello.

About Dael Orlandersmith:  One of the truly groundbreaking unique voices in contemporary American drama, Dael Orlandersmith was one of the first to transition from a spoken word artists to a nationally produced playwright. Orlandersmith was a 2002 Pulitzer Prize award finalist for her work, Yellowman.
