Fresh Sound recording artist Paul Olenick will perform works from his new release, Contact (FSNT 315). He'll be joined by Chris Cheek, Scott Wendholt and others. A frequent sideman at Joe's Pub, Paul has performed with Aretha Franklin, Robin Eubanks, Oliver Lake, Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, Les Elgart, Ray Anthony, Billy May Orchestra, Keter Betts, Charlie Persip, Rich Perry, Ben Monder and Terrell Stafford among others. He has toured extensively throughout North America and Europe and has performed in venues ranging from world famous jazz clubs like The Blue Note to arts festivals like New York and Philly Fringe. His first recording as a leader, Contact, was released in 2008 on Fresh Sound Records.
